CLINTON TWP — A homeowner attempting to cross Sarver Road to get his mail was hit by a vehicle about 1 p.m. Wednesday, state police report.

A family member and a neighbor at the scene said the victim was Donald Shearer.

He was flown by helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital to be treated for head and abdominal injuries. He was conscious and alert when he was flown, the family member said. His condition was not available this morning.

The vehicle was driven by Kristine A. Wichrowski, 45, of Sarver, according to police. As of this morning, police had not filed any charges related to the crash. The vehicle suffered moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

In a report on the accident released this morning state police said their investigation continues.
