CRANBERRY TWP — A township woman allegedly drove while under the influence with child passengers to an auto dealer.

Police say Angeline D. Serushyana-Bettis, 33, drove to the Cranberry Chrysler on Route 19 on Sept. 24 at about 2 p.m. with her 7-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter after witnesses saw her traveling over dividing lines on the road.

While speaking with company employees, Serushyana-Bettis’ Nissan drifted forward and struck a Jeep Wrangler that was listed for sale on the lot, police reports state.

Employees described her as being “semi-conscious” and using “belligerent language.” After being persuaded to exit her Nissan, Serushyana-Bettis was taken into the dealership’s customer waiting area with her children.

She told police she was going to pick up her sister at an airport and used belligerent language toward an officer, police said.

She later told police she drank “a lot” of wine the previous evening and throughout the day.

After failing a sobriety test, Serushyana-Bettis was arrested.

A blood test showed she had a blood alcohol concentration of .223 percent. The legal limit is 0.08 percent.

Serushyana-Bettis waived charges Friday of DUI and child endangerment and will be arraigned in county court on April 10. She was released on her own recognizance.
