HIS Kids Christian School recently received the Volunteer Service Award from the Butler YMCA. The award recognized student outstanding performance, dedicated service and contributions to YMCA special events.

In November and December, third through sixth grade students Vanessa Filges, Anna Acquaviva, Laini Spohn, Destinee Henderson, Emma Jarvis, Alisa Shideler, Korbin Mago, Morgan Oesterling, Keven Robinson, Zach Fife and Paige Patterson served Thanksgiving and Christmas luncheons to YMCA members and staff.

Students at the school also donated items to the Summit Church Food Bank, collected toys for Butler County Child and Youth Services and provided warm clothing for veterans at Meadows Manor Home.
