WEST SUNBURY — Students at Dassa McKinney Elementary School donated money to provide 100 capes for children around the country through Capes4Heroes.

The nonprofit organization makes personalized superhero capes for children experiencing a life-threatening illness, disability or life struggle.

Olivia Bartholomew, Taylor Voloch and Kaydn Czepiel were recognized for the strength and courage they show each day and received their capes.

BOYERS — T.J. Barkley, Hunter Romito and Harin Gold, students at Moniteau High School, worked on a Christmas toy drive as a senior project. Children in the community received the 312 toys collected.
