Karenbauer 50th anniversary
Robert and Barbara Karenbauer of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a 50th anniversary Mass at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in North Oakland. The Rev. Richard Karenbauer was the celebrant. They also celebrated with a dinner given by their children.
Karenbauer married the former Barbara Kuriger on Nov. 12, 1966, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in North Oakland.
They have three children, Marcy Rosen of Butler, Jerod (Denise) Karenbauer of Chicora and Nathan (Tammy) Karenbauer of Cabot.
They also have six grandchildren.
Karenbauer retired after working for Armco/AK Steel for 37 years.
He enjoys boating and golfing with family and friends.
Mrs. Karenbauer is a homemaker and a registered nurse. Before retiring, she worked at Butler Memorial Hospital and the Visiting Nurses Association.She likes bowling and baby-sitting her grandchildren.The Karenbauers are members of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.The couple enjoys camping with family and friends and volunteering for Meals on Wheels.
