Fifth-graders finish D.A.R.E.

Fifth-grade students at Butler Catholic School recently completed the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program.

The 29 students in the 10-week program learned about leading drug-free lives from the Butler County Sheriff’s Department.

Commissioner Kevin Boozel and members of the Butler County Sheriff’s office and the Butler County Drug and Alcohol Program attended the graduation ceremony at the school.

BATON ROUGE, La. — Jeffrey Berger of Cranberry Township was initiated into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. Berger was initiated at Brenau University in Georgia, where he received a master’s degree in 2016.
