Butler Police1:42 a.m. Sept. 17 — Melissa Panei, 29, of Harmony was charged with driving under the influence, DUI general impairment and accidents involving damage to unattended vehicles after police say her vehicle struck two parked vehicles along Mercer Street. Her blood alcohol content was recorded at 0.15 percent. The legal limit is 0.08 percent.

Butler Twp PoliceTuesday — Amy Allaman, 36, of Butler was charged with eight counts of retail theft after allegedly stealing $606 worth of merchandise from the Walmart store in Butler Commons during the month of August.

State Police, Butler1:05 p.m. Wednesday — Sherrie Stiefel, 44, of Mars was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of legal medication and illicit drugs after being found passed out behind the driver’s seat in the middle of the intersection of Center and Fairview avenues in Butler.

State Police, Clarion1:42 a.m. Sunday — A minivan driven by Billy Burk, 33, of Rimersburg hit a deer on Route 368 in Perry Township. Burk was cited for leaving the scene without contacting emergency services.11 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Jordan Coffman, 21, of Clarion went down an embankment off Callensburg Road and hit a tree. Coffman was cited for careless driving.

State Police, FranklinSunday — Michael Berry reported a burglary in the apartment above the Gaslight Campgrounds Store on Emlenton-Clintonville Road in Emlenton that occurred between Sept. 9 and Oct. 9. Cash, including loose change, were taken from the apartment bedroom.
