BEREA, Ohio — Samantha Gallaher of Chicora and Karley Hiles of Petrolia received merit scholarships from Baldwin Wallace University. They received the scholarships for their outstanding high school achievements.

Gallaher is a graduate of Karns City High School majoring in French. She earned a $15,000 Presidential Scholarship.

Hiles is a graduate of Karns City High School majoring in biology. She earned an $11,000 Deans Scholarship.

The scholarships are renewable up to four years with good academic and social standing.
