David McCollough, a junior at Westminster College, attended the National Noyce Summit in Washington for the National Science Foundation’s Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program.
McCollough is a biology major. He participates in Westminster’s grant program, IQ: STEM.
It is a competitive scholarship and training program for individuals with strong science, technology and math backgrounds who might not otherwise have considered a teaching career in primary or secondary schools.
Westminster’s program is one of only two Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Programs in Western Pennsylvania.
McCollough is a graduate of Butler High School and the son of Doug and Linda McCollough.
