FORWARD TWP — Drivers in Forward Township will need to find an alternate route over Glade Run starting on Monday, after a bridge replacement project on Brownsdale Road begins.

The project to replace the unnamed bridge is expected to take about 10 weeks according to PennDOT officials. During the work drivers will need to use a posted detour along Route 3013, Route 68 and Route 3010.

The bridge, built in 1952, carries an average of 1,607 vehicles a day across Glade Run, according to PennDOT data. It is one of 558 bridges being replaced under the state’s Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.
