Marriage licenses can be obtained at the Butler County Register of Wills and Clerk of Orphans’ Court offices, Level L, in the Butler County Government Center, 124 W. Diamond St., Butler.

To obtain a certification of a marriage license, you must know both names at the time of application and an approximate time frame when the license was issued.

If the office must research the license, there is a $5 fee. The fee is $5 for a certification of the marriage license or application. Fees can be paid in cash if in person, or with a certified check or money order if mailed.
