The Moraine Trails Council recognized Butler County Sheriff Mike Slupe and Armstrong Utilities on Wednesday for their assistance to Butler County Boy Scouts.

Slupe was honored with the Good Scout Award, and Armstrong Utilities received the Company of the Year Award at the Butler County Good Scout Reception at the Conley Resort and Conference Center.

Slupe has been the district chairman for Glacier Ridge District of the Moraine Trails Council.

Regarding the Company of the Year Award, Bob Stamm, Armstrong operations manager, said the company helps Scouts in their Eagle rank projects, in addition to its financial support.
