Katherine Brydon

Katherine Barger Brydon of Slippery Rock will celebrate her 100th birthday at an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Aug. 14 at the Slippery Rock Township Building, 155 Branchton Road, Slippery Rock.

The former Katherine Barger was born Aug. 19, 1916. She married the late Carl J. Brydon Sept. 8, 1952, in Winchester, Va.

She has three children, Betse Brydon of Stoneboro, William Brydon of Slippery Rock and Tia Brydon of Beaufort, N.C. She also has eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Brydon is a member of Slippery Rock United Methodist Church.

She also is a member of the Slippery Rock Women’s Club, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Audubon Society.
