Lucas 50th anniversary

Richard and Louann Lucas

Richard and Louann Lucas of Butler and Davenport, Fla., celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner at the Field House Restaurant in Cabot. They also celebrated with a family trip to Walt Disney World followed by a Disney Cruise to the Caribbean and islands.

Lucas married the former Louann Weiland on July 9, 1966, at St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church-Carbon Center.

They have two children, Kimberly (Christopher) Skidmore of Butler and Dr. Craig (Meghan) Lucas of Butler.

They also have eight grandchildren.

Lucas retired as a lumber buyer for Service Star in East Butler.

He is a member of the Third Order of the Knights of Columbus. He is a former Sunday school teacher and he enjoys gardening.

Mrs. Lucas is a retired piano and organ teacher, and a retired church organist and choral director. She was a youth leader and a Girl Scout leader.

The Lucases are members of St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church and St. Faustian Roman Catholic Church in Florida.

The Lucases are employed at Walt Disney World, Main Street as merchantainers. They enjoy line dancing and singing karaoke.
