Movies like “House on Haunted Hill” with Vincent Price were staples of “Chiller Theater” hosted on television by Bill Cardille from the '50s through the '80s.

MARSHALL TWP, Allegheny County — Monster Bash returns July 8 to 10 at the Doubletree by Hilton Pittsburgh-Cranberry.

Pittsburgh TV legend Bill Cardille, who hosted “Chiller Theater” on Channel 11 from the 1950s through the 1980s, will chat with fans and sign autographs.

Former child stars and screen beauties also will be present, including Claudia Barrett who has many television guest roles in westerns such as “Gunsmoke” and “Bonanza” to her credit as well as the cult classic “Robot Monster” from 1953.

Also from “Robot Monster” at the Monster Bash will be former child actor Gregory Moffett. He'll be appearing alongside his sister Sharyn Moffett in her first convention appearance and signing ever. She played in “The Body Snatcher” with Boris Karloff and “Mr. Blanding Builds His Dream House” with Cary Grant.

Rounding out the child stars attending is Jimmy Hunt of “Invaders from Mars,” “Sorry, Wrong Number,” and “Cheaper by the Dozen.”

The Monster Bash also will feature special effects gurus Tom Sullivan (“Evil Dead”) and Tom Savini (“Friday the 13th,” “Night of the Living Dead,” & “Creepshow”), “Forbidden Planet” props from Wes Shank and props and photos from “The Blob,” courtesy of the film director's son, Kris Yeaworth.

Creepy comedy will be provided by stand-up comedian Don Reese and The Abbott and Costello Ultimate Tribute Show. Other artists, celebrity guests and the Northeast Ohio Ghostbusters are also scheduled.

Feature films plus question-and-answer sessions with the guests and cartoons in a theater style screening room are planned as well.

Show hours are 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. July 8, 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. July 9, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 10.
