Ronald “Bowz” and Elaine Bowser of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a surprise card shower. They also will celebrate with a family dinner.

Bowser married the former Elaine Brandt on June 3, 1966, at Thorn Creek United Methodist Church in Butler.

They have three children, Sheila Parker of Canonsburg, Ronald (Erin) Bowser II of Butler and Brenda Bowser of Butler.

They also have two grandchildren and one step-grandchild.

Mrs. Bowser has had a motor route for the Butler Eagle for 34 years.

Bowser retired from Pullman Standard and Allegheny Axle. He also has worked part-time on a Butler Eagle motor route for 34 years.

The Bowsers are Protestant.
