Russell L. Steele
Russell L. Steele, 58, of Butler passed away Monday at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born Aug. 24, 1957, in Butler, he was a son of Michael M. Steele Jr. and the late Stella Kay (Collins) Steele.
He was employed as a welder for AK Steel. He retired Aug. 24, 2012, following 25 years of service.
He enjoyed hunting and especially loved his German shepherd dogs.
Surviving are his wife, Joyce (Wood) Steele, who he married Aug. 20, 1984; two daughters, Denise M. (Dan) Angert of Fenelton and Marcie L. (Patrick) McLaughlin of Butler; four grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his father, Michael M. Steele Jr.; his brother:, Michael M. (Peggy) Steele III of West Sunbury; three sisters, LeeAnne (Jim) Price of Maryland, Raylene (Hal) Ellenberger of Butler and Tammy (Jerry) Holben of Karns City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Stella Kay Steele; and his brother, Bruce Steele.
