Mental health awareness
National Alliance on Mental Illness Butler County held a walk Saturday to raise awareness for mental illness.
Around 35 to 40 people participated in a walk from Diamond Park to the Armstrong building and back in honor of May being Mental Health Awareness Month.
The number was up from 25 who participated last year.
“I just want to thank the community for making mental health awareness in Butler County,” said Kathy McDonnell, director of NAMI Butler County.
On Wednesday Butler County Commissioners will give a proclamation that May is Mental Health Awareness Month in Butler County.
