Event needs helpers
The Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival is seeking volunteers for its annual festival the weekend of June 10-12.
The festival needs at least 400 volunteers, according to a release by the Friends of Bantam Jeep Association.
Volunteers will be needed starting June 7 to help set up. Tear down will take place after the festival June 12 and 13.
Volunteers will have the option of choosing which day and time works best for them. They have the chance to note their volunteer position preference.
Here are a few areas to volunteer for: admissions, the Mystery Road Rally, children’s activities and festival set up and tear down.
Jeep owners who help for two shifts will receive: A free $125 package for certain activities, free Jeep registration for select activities, a participant wrist band, volunteer T-shirt and two raffle tickets.
Those who do not own a Jeep can volunteer too. They will receive a volunteer T-shirt, a spectator wrist band for them and a guest and two raffle tickets.
Volunteer orientation will be at 6:30 p.m. June 9 at Cooper’s Lake Campground in Worth Township.

The Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival is a tribute to those who created the Jeep in Butler more than 70 years ago.
It is organized by Friends of Bantam Jeep Association with support from the Butler County Historical Society, Butler Downtown and other organizations.
The festival takes place in downtown Butler and at Cooper’s Lake Campground.
