Harmony Museum to introduce new series
HARMONY — The Harmony Museum will introduce a new First Friday series of free, family-oriented open houses in its Wagner House Museum Shop and garden at 222 Mercer St. in the heart of the community’s National Historic Landmark District.
Running from 4 to 7 p.m. on the first Friday of each month through summer, each event will be tied to a “National Day” theme designated for the date, with the first outing this Friday marking National Beverage Day.
Visitors are invited to enjoy camaraderie, jazz by the Harmony Hot Haus quartet, wine tastings, lemonade and soft drinks and First Friday-only shop specials.
Free maps for self-guiding walking tours of Old Town Harmony’s historic center are available for anyone wanting to explore the landmark district.
The open house series is aimed at increasing public interest in the museum and shop and the community’s other specialty shops and restaurants.
Among the planned themes are National Donut Day and National Root Beer Float Day.
