Truck crash, spill forces closure of Interstate 80
CLINTON TWP, Venango County — The eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 were closed this morning following a crash involving a tractor-trailer.
State police in Franklin report the tractor-trailer driven by Gennadiy Kreymerman, 61, of Brooklyn, N.Y., was disabled after losing a drive tire.
According to police, a tanker truck driven by Kenneth Wayne Hogue, 51, of Salem, Ohio, also was eastbound on I-80 when it hit the drive tire, causing the tanker to hit the tractor-trailer at 1:40 a.m.
The tanker then hit the guard rail and overturned, spilling roughly 3,600 gallons of water and oil waste.
Neither driver was injured. Crews cleaned up the spill.
State police were assisted by the Clintonville Volunteer Fire Department, Emlenton Ambulance and PennDOT.
