Negley 100th birthday
Faye Negley of Concordia in Jefferson Township, formerly of Steppland Road, celebrated her 100th birthday Feb. 27 with a cupcake and sundae get-together where she was guest of honor at Concordia and with a card shower.
The former Faye A. Sipe was born Feb. 26, 1916, in Altoona.
She married the late Merdieth V. Negley on July 29, 1938.
She has two children, the late Lewis J. Negley and Joseph F. Negley of Butler.
She also has eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She founded and retired from Serv-A-Care Water Co.
She was a lifetime member of Nixon Methodist Church where she served in the kitchen into her 80s. She now plays bells in the Concordia Bell Choir. She enjoyed sewing, shopping and football.
