Maurhoff 63rd anniversary
Alfred and Lola Maurhoff of Cabot celebrated 63 years of marriage with a family dinner.
Maurhoff married the former Lola Fetzer on April 6, 1953, at First English Lutheran Church in Chicora.
They have six children, Emily Davis of Beaver Falls, Herbert Maurhoff of Cabot, Charles Maurhoff of Cabot, Anita Terwilliger of Marwood, Jeanne Maurhoff of Frederick, Maryland, and John Maurhoff of Pacifica, Calif. They also have six grandchildren.
Maurhoff is a self-employed electrical contractor and a part-time farmer.
He is a World War II Army veteran, serving as a radio communications operator with the 324th Engineers, 99th Division in the Battle of the Bulge. He is a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Cabot where he is an elder and a mentor. He recently resigned from the Jefferson Township Planning Commission.
Mrs. Maurhoff is a Grove City College graduate, a Republican committeewoman and a 4-H leader.
