Sintz 65th anniversary
Harry F. and Doris L. Sintz of Butler will celebrate 65 years of marriage with an open house from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St.
Sintz married the former Doris L. Cottrill on April 14, 1951, at the Methodist Church in DeRidder, La.
They have four children, Sandra A. Strunk of Butler, Robert J. Sintz of Butler, Harry P. Sintz of Butler and Susan D. Martella of Boyers.
They also have nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Sintz retired after teaching school in Meridian and Lyndora.
He enjoys crafts, yard work and reading.
Mrs. Sintz is a homemaker. She worked as a clerk at Jack McKain’s Market for 25 years.
She does plastic needlepoint and bowled for 25 years. Most of all, she enjoys their grandchildren.
The couple enjoys traveling, and they have visited many countries and U.S. states.
The Sintzes are members of Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church where Sintz has been a councilman, usher and deacon. Mrs. Sintz has been a member for 76 years.
