The Eagles boys' 200 medley relay team of Austin Wilson, Thomas Somora, Rockwell Pokrant and Devin Reynolds finished first with a time of 1 minute, 33.94 seconds.
Grove City wasn't done.
Wilson was third in the 200 freestyle and Somora was sixth in the 200 individual medley.
Pokrant also earned an individual medal with a seventh-place finish in the 100 butterfly.
The Eagles capped the day with a second-place finish for their 200 freestyle relay. Members of that team are Marcus Swartfager, Will Rastatter, Pokrant and Devin Reynolds.
The Grove City boys are currently in first place with 129 points, leading second-place Trinity, which has 117.
Knoch is 18th with 22 points.
Ben Lowery was fourth in the 1-meter diving event for the Knights.
The Grove City girls also enjoyed a good first day.
Emma Wilson was third in the 50 freestyle and she also swam a leg of the Eagles' seventh-place 200-yard medley relay.
Wilson was joined by Kimmi Wendelschaefer, Addie Reynolds and Emma Rastatter.
Wilson, only a freshman, got her third medal of the day when the Eagles' 200 freestyle relay placed eighth.
Wilson was joined on that team by Rastatter, Jenny Baglia and Ashley McNabb.
Grove City is in fourth place as a team after the first day with 62 points. Villa Maria leads with 168½.
