Butler Catholic’s varsity boys basketball season ended recently with a 53-37 loss to St. Joseph of Verona in a Diocese of Pittsburgh Final Four game.

Nicholas Maher led the Saints with 11 points. Nathan Higgins and Colin Gallagher added eight points each.

Butler Catholic reached the Final Four by defeating St. Bernard of Pittsburgh, 42-35, in a third-round playoff game. Higgins scored 17 points, Maher 13 and Gallagher six.

The North section champion Saints ended the season with a 24-6 record. Other team members include Jon Draeger, Tim Patterson, Nick Corlew, Liam Moran, Sean LeMay, Josiah McConnell, Kobe McGill, Diesel Losch and Joey Orsborne.

Coaches were Jerry Maher and Michael Higgins.
