Evans City Woman gives police the slip — twice
ADAMS TWP — An Evans City woman is a slippery suspect.
She got out of handcuffs placed on her by township police. Not once, but twice.
Jamie Strezeski, 53, faces two counts of felony escape and one count of felony trespassing from an alleged incident Thursday at Adams Pointe.
Police were dispatched to a house on North Adams Pointe Boulevard where Strezeski was allegedly trespassing, according to the criminal complaint.
Though she had a key to the house and claimed to have permission to be there, homeowner Edward Bittner allegedly told police over the phone that she did not have his permission.
The key had been given to her years ago, when they were friends.
Officer Michael Bordt placed Strezeski in handcuffs, behind her back and double-locked, and placed her in the back of his patrol vehicle.
After talking to a witness, he heard a noise and returned to his car and allegedly found that she had slipped out of the cuffs. She told police that she had issues with handcuffs from an incident when she was a child, but the two officers there warned her that she would be charged if she did it again.
Bordt placed shackles around her ankles and cuffed her again, this time in the front.
Upon arriving at the police station, he discovered that she had allegedly slipped off the cuffs a second time, according to the complaint.
She is in Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail.
