Metcalfe 100th birthday
Dorothea A. Metcalfe of Butler celebrated her 100th birthday with a family dinner at the Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church in Zelienople.
The former Dorothea A. Webb was born Dec. 17, 1915, in Swissvale. She married the late Arthur C. Metcalfe on Jan. 10, 1935.
She has 11 children, Annette (Ralph) Gorog of Zelienople, David (Rosie) Metcalfe of LaMirada, Calif., Daniel (Bobbie) Metcalfe of Greensboro, N.C., William (Barbara) Metcalfe of Ellwood City, the late Janice Beckey, Richard (Janet) Metcalfe of Zelienople, Robert (Wendy) Metcalfe of Franklin Park, Beverly (David) Lotz of Prospect, Margie (Kent) King of Pooler, Ga., Marcie (George) Halle of North Royalton, Ohio, and Mary (Bruce) Knobloch of Greensboro, N.C.
She also has 29 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and 10 foster children.
Metcalfe is a homemaker.
She is a member of Kathryn Kuhlman Ministries, Jamie Buckingham Ministries and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Metcalfe attends the Presbyterian Church of Prospect.
