McMillen 65th Anniversary
Dean and Mary Belle McMillen of Evans City celebrated 65 years of marriage.
McMillen married the former Mary Belle Davison on Dec. 6, 1950, at a United Presbyterian Church in Winchester, Va.
They have four children, Larry (Joyce) McMillen of Pittsburgh, Craig (Nancy) McMillen of North Washington, Scott (Roberta) McMillen of Sandston, Va., and Colleen (Gary) Himmelwright of Zelienople. Mitzi Morrow McMillen, their daughter-in-law, is deceased.
They have nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. They also have an extended family of three step-granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.McMillen retired from Armco with 45 years of service. He worked in the machine shop and with scale maintenance.He is a life member of the Evans City Fire Company and a 36-year member of the Rotary. He was commander of American Legion Post 219 for 18 years. He is a member of the Evans City Library Board and Mars Masonic Lodge 279.Mrs. McMillen retired as a receptionist at Avada Hearing and Balance Center in Butler and Zelienople.She is a past officer of Mars Chapter 271 of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Mars Stars.The McMillens are members of St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
