CHRIST COMMUNITY UNITED METHODIST

Sausage Day at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Orders may be picked up after 1 p.m.

A red church offering will be taken at both services Sunday for Laura Killby’s mission trip.

The church council will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The church office will be closed Thanksgiving Day and Nov. 27.

CHRIST'S OUTREACH

Christ’s Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave., will have a dinner study at 5:30 p.m. today.

Following the Sunday morning worship service, the movie “The Encounter” will be shown.

There will be no Bible study on Monday night.

Reservations are required for the Dec. 5 trip to the Glass Blowing Center at Hilliards and shopping at Prime Outlets in Grove City. Call the church office at 724-283-8407 to make reservations.

COMMUNITY LIFE

Community Life Church holds service at McQuistion Elementary School.

Contact Natalie Wall with any questions about the Operation Christmas Child shoebox packing party Saturday. Other shoeboxes packed at home for the project should be returned to the church Sunday.

The men’s bowling outing will be at 2 p.m. Sunday. Sign up at the information hub Sunday and pay at the bowling alley. For more information, contact Jason Brewer.

COVENANT PRESBYTERIAN

Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., will have a church cleanup from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday to clean the sanctuary for the holidays. Donations of buckets, sponges, glass cleaner, oil soap and rags are welcome. Pizza and pop will be served.

FAITH LUTHERAN

Faith Lutheran Church, 241 Freeport Road, Summit Township, will have its annual Thanksgiving service at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

FIRST BAPTIST

The Association of Independent Churches of Western Pennsylvania’s Thanksgiving dinner and service will be at First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., at 6 p.m. today.

The ladies’ Bible study will be at 7 p.m. today at the Dittmer home.

The Berean Class social will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Baptist Youth Center.

FIRST BAPTIST OF EVANS CITY

The Foundations men’s ministry of First Baptist Church of Evans City, 242 S. Washington St., Evans City, will meet at 7 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Sunday activities will include a prayer meeting, Christian living classes for all ages and a worship service.

There will be no AWANA children’s ministry program Wednesday.

FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN

First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., will have a Thanksgiving Eve service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The service will include interactive prayer stations, an anthem by the church choir directed by Harry Cunningham and special music with soloist Kevin Mathias on recorder. FIRST UNITED METHODIST

First United Methodist Church, 200 E. North St., will have a Thanksgiving service at 6 p.m. Sunday. Nursery care will be provided.

GLADE RUN UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, will have a small group seminar from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

The youth group will have a board game night from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the youth room.

GRACE@CALVARY LUTHERAN

Grace’s Closet, a free clothing bank at Grace @ Calvary, 123 E. Diamond St., will be open from 5 to 7 p.m. today.

The church office will be closed Thanksgiving Day and Nov. 27.

GRACEWAY

GraceWay meets at the Center Township Elementary School on Mercer Road.

Tishy Hornsby and Lyric Ackelson will provide special music for the Sunday service.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St. will observe Christ the King Sunday this week.

The chorale will have a pie sale following worship.

MARS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The Rev. Robert McCrumb will be the guest pastor for both services Sunday at Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave. There will also be a congregational meeting at 10 a.m. to approve new elders, deacons and the 2016 budget.

There will be a deacons meeting in the board room at 7 p.m. Monday.

GROW will be at Valencia Presbyterian Church Wednesday.

MERIDIAN UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Holy Communion will be observed during the Sunday morning worship service at Meridian United Presbyterian Church, 4150 Highland Ave.

NEW LIFE CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES

New Life Christian Ministries, 139 Knoch Road, Saxonburg, will celebrate the sacrament of believer baptism at the 6:30 p.m. Saturday worship service.

NORTH MAIN STREET CHURCH OF GOD

The Christian Women Connection of North Main Street Church of God, 1201 N. Main St. Ext., is raising money to buy chicks for a village in Uganda where the church has missionaries.

Adults from ages 18 to 30 will have a Christmas party at 6 p.m. Dec. 12 at the church. It will include an ugly Christmas sweater contest, food, games and a white elephant gift exchange. To make a reservation, call the church office at 724-285-4214 by Dec. 6.

OLD UNION PRESBYTERIAN

Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, will have Thank Offering Sunday. The women’s association will have a special offering to support mission projects in the U.S. and around the world. Victoria Smouse, director of programs and community outreach at the Lighthouse, will speak at the service.

SAINT ANDREWS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., will have adult Sunday school at 9:15 a.m. Sunday in the church library.

Dinner with Friends will gather at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Harmony Inn, 230 Mercer St., Harmony. For reservations, contact Susan Moon.

A Blest Be the Tie That Binds fall service and supper will be at 3 p.m. Sunday to enable homebound members to attend church. The service will include a hymn sing and Communion. Dinner will follow in the Memorial Room.

Plan on staying after worship Nov. 29 for the annual “Hanging of the Greens.”

THE SOWER'S CHAPEL

The Sowers Chapel, 100 Iron Bridge Road, Sarver, will have a festival service at 11 a.m. Thanksgiving Day. Take donations of nonperishable food for the joyful procession at the beginning of the service. The food will be donated to the Freeport Food Bank.

SPRINGDALE LYUTHERAN

Springdale Lutheran Church, 1061 Mahood Road, West Sunbury, will celebrate the festival of Christ the King Sunday. There will be adult Sunday school before the service.

A service of Thanksgiving will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Take nonperishable food for the Moniteau Food Pantry.

ST. JOHN’S UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST

St. John’s United Church of Christ, 501 E. Main St., Evans City, will have its annual Thanksgiving breakfast at 9 a.m. Saturday. Sign-ups before the breakfast are preferred.

The “Hanging of the Greens” for Advent will be Sunday at the conclusion of the morning worship service.

St. John’s office will be closed Thanksgiving Day.

The annual “Cookies From the Heart” cookie sale will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 5. Cookie donations will be welcome.

ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN

The PM sewing ministry of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, will meet at 6 p.m. today.

The senior high youth group will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday to pack college care boxes and plan the winter schedule.

The feast of Christ the King will be celebrated with Communion at the 9:30 a.m. Sunday service.

The Christmas float work session will begin at noon Sunday.

Community quiet time will be observed from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.

ST. MARK'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN

St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., will have a “Christ The King” weekend with Holy Communion served at all worship services.

Eve Bible Study will meet at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the lounge.

There will be no children’s hour Wednesday.

There will be a Thanksgiving Eve worship service and reception at 7 p.m. Nov. 25.

TRINITY LUTHERAN

Sunday is the deadline to sign up for the cookie exchange at Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Center Township.

The choir will rehearse after the 11 a.m. Sunday service.

WHITESTOWN ROAD BAPTIST

Whitestown Road Baptist Church, 409 Whitestown Road, will have its annual Thanksgiving community fellowship meal after the Sunday service.

ZION LUTHERAN

Zion Lutheran Church, 266 Zion Church Road, Chicora, will have Ginger DiTullio as the lay-leader for worship Sunday. There will be no youth Sunday school or adult Bible study. Christmas decorating of the church and refreshments will follow worship.
