A rematch with a Black Hills Conference foe stands in the way of the Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic football team making a fourth straight appearance in the WPIAL Class A playoffs.

The Trojans, who are 10-0, will take on Bishop Canevin at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Deer Lakes. North Catholic beat the Crusaders 20-0 earlier in the season.

Bishop Canevin, which is 7-3, is led by junior quarterback Austin Scott.

Scott has thrown for 864 yards and nine touchdowns. Senior running back Amaan Bridgett leads the team with 930 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns.

North Catholic quarterback Erick Taylor has thrown for 1,384 yards and rushed for another 626. Mario Latronica leads the Trojans with 861 yards and nine touchdowns.
