Mary Teresa McCandless

Mary Teresa McCandless of Cabot will celebrate her 100th birthday with a family dinner in Cabot.

The former Mary Teresa Chotta was born Oct. 22, 1915, in McKeesport. She married the late Lemuel Earl McCandless.

She has two children, the late Thomas Earl McCandless and the late James Robert McCandless.

She also has four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Mrs. McCandless retired as a state inspector.

She is a member of New Life Christian Ministries. She was instrumental in teaching special-needs children. She also was a Sunday school teacher and a den mother.
