CHRIST COMMUNITY UNITED METHODIST

The food cupboard work team of Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, will meet at 8:45 a.m. Monday. The community dinner work team will meet at 4 p.m. Monday.

Meals on Wheels baked goods donations will be accepted at the church Sunday, Monday, Oct. 25 and 26.

The stewardship campaign will be Sunday and Oct. 25 during the worship services.

Christ’s Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave., will have picture day for the new church directory following Sunday’s morning worship service.

Community Life Church holds service at McQuistion Elementary School.

CENENANT PRESBYTERIAN

Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., will celebrate the sacrament of holy baptism during the worship service Sunday.

The property committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the assembly room. The session will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the assembly room.

FIRST BAPTIST

The ladies Bible study of First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., will be at 7 p.m. today at the Dittmer home.

The Berean class will take a cruise at 3 p.m. Saturday at Moraine State Park, 225 Pleasant Valley Road, Portersville.

There will be a luncheon and a 1 p.m. worship service Sunday following the morning service.

The adult crafters meeting will be at noon Tuesday at Mac’s Route 8 Café, 16 Pittsburgh Road.

FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN

First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., will have Dinner Church at 5 p.m. Sunday with worship around the table, conversation and good food. Sign up in the social hall or call the church at 724-283-2378 to make reservations.

GLADE RUN UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The youth group of Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, will have a fry night from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Children will prepare music for both Sunday services Nov. 22.

GraceWay meets at the Center Township Elementary School on Mercer Road.

Tishy Hornsby, Pat Hovis and Don Horstman will provide the special music for the Sunday worship service.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The woman’s fall luncheon of Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St., will be at noon Saturday and will feature “Ring and Sing II” presented by Nancy Slezak and Pam Lentz.

A focus group meeting on missions will be at 11:45 a.m. Sunday in the hall lounge.

The Mary Lou Boyer Circle will meet at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Joy Bells will rehearse at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday.

The teen fellowship group will meet from 7 to 8:15 p.m. Wednesday.

NEW LIFE CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES

New Life Christian Ministries, 139 Knoch Road, Saxonburg, will have a BELIEVE! gathering at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The third annual LIFEkidz Harvest Festival will be from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday. It will include a variety of harvest activities, inflatable attractions, a chili cook-off and more. Register by Saturday by sending an e-mail to lauren@newlifexn.org.

NIXON UNITED METHODIST

Nixon United Methodist Church, 334 Airport Road, will host a homemade meatloaf luncheon immediately following the 11 a.m. worship service Sunday. The luncheon will benefit the preschool.

Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, will have the Rev. Marco Tinor as guest speaker Sunday.

PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF PORTERSVILLE

Rachel Kerr will describe her work in Erie and Benjamin Kragt will talk about Uganda from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Presbyterian Church of Portersville, 1297 Perry Highway, Portersville.

The Rev. Charles Woodman will speak on Sierra Leone at the 11 a.m. Sunday worship service. Barry Nichol’s presentation about the Mission Enterprise will be at 7 p.m.

RIDER LUTHERAN

The apple butter team at Rider Lutheran Church, 189 Rider Church Road, West Sunbury, will begin its work at 9 a.m. Friday and at 6 a.m. Saturday.

The Sunday worship service will include Communion and a healing service during the liturgy.

SAINT ANDREWS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

“A Celebration of Malawi” will be during Sunday worship at Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St. The Rev. Bob Goossen, pastor of the Crestview Community Church, and elder Greg Hartung will share pictures and insights from their recent trip to Malawi.

The congregation will gather with the congregation of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church at 7 p.m. Monday for shared prayer, stories, history, song, refreshments and fellowship. The evening will begin at St. Andrews and continue at St. Paul.

ST.JOHN'S LUTHERAN

The church council of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Connoquenessing, 100 Main St., Connoquenessing, will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

ST.JOHN’S UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST

The Rev. Kelley Angleberger will be the guest speaker at the worship service Sunday at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 501 E. Main St., Evans City.

The garden club’s next work session will be at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 24.

St. John’s will participate in the Trunk or Treat from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 24 in Evans City. Those who signed up should arrive early to help set up.

ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN

St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, will celebrate Oktoberfest from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday in Centennial Hall. Decorating will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday.

Food bank participation will be at 6 p.m. Monday.

The church council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday.

The bell choir will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
