BC3 foundation adds 3 members to board
BUTLER TWP — The BC3 Education Foundation recently added three new members to its board.
They are Bob Hovanec, Robert Heaton and Rex Knisley.
Hovanec retired as president and COO of Peoples TWP following a 33-year career. He graduated from Indiana (Pa.) University, later serving on IUP’s board of trustees and its foundation board.
He also is a member of the BC3 Pioneer Proud Campaign steering committee.
He lives in Gibsonia with his wife, Francine.
Heaton was born and raised in Butler where he has worked since he was 11 years old.
He graduated from Butler High School in 1947 then enrolled in mortuary science school in Cleveland before returning to his hometown where he worked in the funeral industry until retirement.
Heaton is in real estate development and has developed a number of residential and commercial properties throughout Butler County. He and his daughter, Leanne, manage RHGL Enterprises in Butler.
Knisley is senior vice president commercial banking, regional manager for First National Bank’s northwest region.
Knisley has 36 years of experience in the banking industry. He is a graduate of Allegheny College in Meadville.
He serves on a number of economic development committees in the Hermitage area, where he lives with his wife, Dawn.
The foundation receives and manages private funds for the benefit of Butler County Community College.
