SLIPPERY ROCK TWP — The Slippery Rock School Board on Monday night hired a new high school assistant principal.
They hired Kristen Czubiak for $80,000 a year to fill the vacancy, business manager Paul Cessar said.
Czubiak is a teacher at the Laurel School District in Lawrence County. She expects to start next week, Cessar said.
The position became open after administrator Matt Lafko resigned in August. Lafko, who was previously the Moraine Elementary School principal was set to become co-principal at the high school along with Cory Hake, who is now the high school principal.
Kathy Kwolek, who has been the interim high school principal, is working on a day-to-day basis and will finish once Czubiak is on the job, Cessar said.
