BUFFALO TWP — Noah Bowser, a senior at Freeport High School, was one of two valedictory speakers at the graduation banquet for the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Sciences hosted by Carnegie Mellon University.
Only 60 students participated in the competitive program.
In 35 days, the students completed courses in biology, chemistry, physics, computer sciences and mathematics.
The students also participated in a group research project.
Bowser’s project was “The effects of analgesics and stimulants on the neural activity of Lumbricus terrestrus and Caenorhabditis elegans.”
