ALDI, the discount grocery chain, will open two of the former Bottom Dollar Food stores in the area this month.

The ALDI store at 196 Bon Aire Plaza on Route 8 in Center Township will open July 23.

The ALDI store at 7221 McKnight Road, Ross Township, Allegheny County, will open July 30.

ALDI bought out Bottom Dollar, and has closed some of those stores while reopening some under its own name.

The United Way of Butler County will receive $4,000 on behalf of Farmers National Bank, which won of the second annual Butler County Bankers Open Golf Tournament sponsored by Butler County Tourism and Convention Bureau.The challenge took place June 26 at Oakview Golf Club in Slippery Rock.Other participating banks were NexTier, Mars National, Northwest Savings, First Commonwealth and WesBanco Bank. Each bank brought two foursomes and donated to a purse totaling $4,000.Because Farmers National won the tournament, its charity of choice, the United Way, will receive the $4,000 purse.Winning team members were Josh Fye, Matt Lucco, Rob Foust and Nick Brucker.
