Miskinis 100th birthday
Mary E. Kolenchak Miskinis of Concordia at Cabot, formerly of Gilpin Township, Armstrong County, celebrated her 100th birthday.
She was born June 6, 1915, in Leechburg. She married the late Charles P. Miskinis Sept. 1, 1937, at St. Martha Roman Catholic Church.
She has five children, Charles and Martha Miskinis, Pam and Rick Sorisio and Deb and David Vargo, all of Leechburg; Barbara and Henry Wilken of Vandergrift; and Ed and Diana Miskinis of Rochester, N.Y. She also has 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Miskinis loves sports, especially when her grandchildren or great-grandchildren are playing. She also is a Steelers, Penguins and Pirates fan and celebrated her 99th birthday at a Pirates’ game at PNC Park. She also enjoys knitting, crocheting and reading.
