No identity given for tenants in plan

Former farm to be developed

ADAMS TWP — While FWH Development presented supervisors with preliminary plans for the commercial portion of a new development, no tenants have yet been identified.

The development, which will include residential and retail space, is to be built on the old Hespenheide farm on Route 228 at the end of Myoma Road.

Chris Wulff, engineer for the Larson Design Group representing the developer, said he anticipated a hotel, bank and large athletic complex to be part of the development.

Wulff said the concept for the 15-acre, indoor athletic complex includes five basketball courts, two soccer fields, and one football field.

“We have a deal circling us,” Wulff said of a potential lessee for the athletic complex.

He said a hotel company, which he chose not to name, is considering the parcel for that venue.

“They’re looking at it,” Wulff said. “We’re not sure if they’re going to move forward.”

He said the plan must go back to supervisors for approval, which will probably happen in the late fall.

“It’s intended to go quickly,” Wulff said of the development.

The developer is Frank Hespenheide, and the property is his family’s former farm.

Wulff said while Ryan Homes will develop the 26 single-family and 130 townhomes, a separate developer will build the retail part of the plan.

The residential portion of the plan, which will be known as White Tail Meadows, on June 8 received preliminary approval by the supervisors.
