Jeep parade returns to Butler June 12
To bring the Guinness world record for the largest Jeep parade back to Butler, the birthplace of the Jeep, the Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival will offer on-site parade registration June 12.
The registration will be from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the South Butler Township Fire Hall, 98 Old Plank Road, near Butler County Community College.
On-site registration for the parade is $15. The Jeep’s VIN number is required to register. The parade begins at 2:30 p.m.
“Our preregistration ended on May 17, and since then we have heard from many Jeep owners who still want to be part of the parade,” said Patti Jo Lambert, festival director.
“We’re offering on-site parade registration so all Jeep owners can participate. Any Jeep model can be in the parade.
“We urge every Jeep owner to join in the fun and be involved in this history-making event.”
The festival set the world record for most Jeeps in one location with 1,106 at the first festival in 2011.
However, in April the Mid-Florida Jeep Club in Florida set a record with 1,846 vehicles.
The festival will be June 12-14 in Butler and at Cooper’s Lake Campground in Worth Township.
