Concordia Visiting Nurses names chief financial officer

CABOT — Concordia Visiting Nurses has announced a change in its chief financial officer position.

Bill Giallombardo of Butler retired Friday, and he is replaced by Tammy Young of Saxonburg.

He joined the agency in November 2002 and has been a director on the Concordia Lutheran Ministries Foundation Board and the VNA Alliance Board and was an ex-officio member on both the Good Samaritan Hospice and Concordia Visiting Nurses Boards.

During his tenure, Concordia acquired Good Samaritan Hospice in 2004 and Concordia Medical Equipment in 2007.

In 2008, the VNA Alliance was formed through a partnership with St Paul Homes in Greenville and Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community in Meadville. The Meadville Medical Center joined the partnership in 2009 and the Grove City Medical Center was added in 2012. Good Samaritan Hospice affiliated with Heritage Valley Health System in 2010, and in 2013 it opened an inpatient unit at Medical Center Beaver.

Young came to Concordia Visiting Nurses in December 2009 when she was appointed accounting manager.She has a master's of business administration from Robert Morris University and earned her bachelor's in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from Slippery Rock University.Before joining the agency, she worked in public accounting for Ruzomberka, Holland, Renk, Smith in Sewickley for seven years.A member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot, she is treasurer there. She also serves at Katie's Kitchen, Good Samaritan Hospice of Pittsburgh, the Butler County Humane Society and other charities.She and husband, Jason have one daughter, Aleah.
