Council president leads hopefuls in Seven Fields

SEVEN FIELDS — Borough council President Jennifer Sikora won the primary election Tuesday night, and former Seneca Valley School Board member Joseph Scalamogna took a big step in being elected to his first term.

Sikora and Scalamogna were the top two vote-getters in a field that also included Paul Adametz and Dawn Servello.

Sikora won the most votes, earning 122, or 29 percent of all votes. Scalamogna came in second with 114 votes, or 27 percent of all votes.

Adametz finished in third with 97 votes, or 23 percent of all votes, while Servello came in last with 87 votes, or 20 percent of the total.

Sikora is an incumbent while Scalamogna is vying for the seat that will be vacated by Bob Messina, who is retiring after a long stint on council.

There were 297 votes cast in Seven Fields out of 1,664 eligible voters.

Adametz is also a former Seneca Valley School Board member and Servello has lived in the borough since 1998.

Those becoming council members after the November election will serve for four years.
