ZELIENOPLE — Firefighters from multiple departments responded this morning to a house fire on West New Castle Street apparently caused during the installation of a heating and cooling unit in the attic.

No one was injured, said Rob Reeb, chief of the Zelienople Volunteer Fire Department.

Reeb said preliminary indications were that the heating and cooling workers were drilling a hole in the home’s attic when the fire broke out. There is no damage estimate and fire officials will continue to investigate.
