Hunter Hassler, a junior at Knoch High School, received a full scholarship to attend Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week 2015 on the campus of Lycoming College.
He is the son of Steve and Tammy Hassler of Butler and was selected for the program based on his motivation to learn as demonstrated through an essay.
The event is an economic education program offering students an inside look at the private enterprise system and the way the free market functions.

NEW YORK — Rachael Agnello of Cranberry Township was selected to participate in the prestigious Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals, a yearlong, federally-funded fellowship for study and work in Germany.
Agnello is a junior at George Mason University. Her major is conflict analysis and resolution and her minor is economics. She was selected as one of 75 participants from more than 700 applicants.
Through the fellowship, she will gain cultural, academic and practical work experience. She will attend a two-month intensive German language course, study at a German university or professional school for four months and complete a five-month internship with a German company in her career field of agriculture policy/food trade.

BRADFORD — Blair Patterson, a public relations and writing major from Cabot, read his professional writing capstone project during the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford’s 14th annual Honors Day.
He was one of only 50 students selected for presenting papers, research and original writing ranging from fiction for middle school students to mathematical simulations.

BRADFORD — Hunter Kline, a biology major from Portersville, received the freshman academic excellence award at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford’s annual Honors Convocation.
