PITTSBURGH — Five people were hurt when police say a fugitive crashed into another car during a chase in downtown Pittsburgh.

Officers chased Devon Davis, 23, on foot after the crash Wednesday and found him in a pool of blood at a nearby intersection with injuries to both legs.

A city spokesman says Davis was wanted on bench warrants involving illegal gun possession and gun delivery charges.

After the chase, police charged him with escape, resisting arrest, flight to avoid apprehension, reckless endangerment and other offenses.
