Zavacky 50th anniversary
Michael and Nancy Zavacky of Lyndora celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner at VA Butler Healthcare.
Zavacky married the former Nancy Baronick on Jan. 23, 1965, at St. John Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora.
They have three children, Steve Zavacky of Palm Coast, Fla., Lori Zavacky of Pittsburgh and Karen Z. Badger of Butler.
They also have five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Zavacky was a steel worker at Armco for 43 years.
He is a U.S. Navy World War II veteran and a member of American Legion Post 778.
Mrs. Zavacky is a homemaker. She also worked at Naturalizer Shoes and J.C. Penney.
She is a member of the church women’s guild and a member of American Legion Post 778 Auxiliary.
The Zavackys are members of St. John Byzantine Catholic Church.
