Tack 70th anniversary
John C. and Dorothy Tack of Butler are celebrating 70 years of marriage with a family dinner in Butler.
Tack married the former Dorothy Robb on Feb. 3, 1945, at the First United Methodist Church of Butler.
They have four children, Barbara (Russell) Bicker of Slippery Rock, John G. (Elaine) Tack of Middletown, Ohio, Bill (Donna) Tack of Hilliards and Jeff Tack of Kitty Hawk, N.C.
They also have 13 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Tack was the owner of Tack Lumber Company and later was employed at Mine Safety Appliance.
He is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, a past member of Butler Lions Club and a past manager of Butler Little League teams.
Mrs. Tack co-owned a beauty shop in Butler before becoming a mother and homemaker.
She is a past member of the Junior Women’s Club of Butler and numerous bridge clubs.
The Tacks are members of the First United Methodist Church of Butler.
