Donations continue to pour in

Project has raised more than $343,000

CRANBERRY TWP — The Cranberry Township Community Chest has attracted more than 250 donors who have given more than $343,000 to the 2015 Project of the Year.

That means the community chest already has enough money to buy a $130,000 emergency trailer for training, recruitment and educational purposes that can be used by every fire department in the county.

The money already raised is also enough to fund 10 permanent scholarships at Butler County Community College. Anyone who pledges two years of service to a volunteer fire department will be eligible for a scholarship.

Cranberry Township Supervisor Bruce Mazzoni, treasurer of the community chest, said the goal is to establish 15 to 18 permanent scholarships at BC3, which is why the organization must continue fundraising to hit its $500,000 goal.

“The scholarships will be named for those donors who give $20,000 or more to the project,” Mazzoni said. “I would love to get three or four more donors of that level but every bit helps, and we want to thank all the donors this week and in the past for their support.”

Anyone interested in donating can visit the community chest’s website at www.ctcchest.org.

The most recent round of donors includes $150 from Tim and Gayle Reddinger, $150 from an anonymous donor, $125 from AGR International Inc., $125 from Edward and Nancy Beals, $125 from Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gieder, $100 from Eagle Rubber Products Inc., $100 from Janet Livorine, $100 from Robert and Margaret Fornadley, $100 from the Stellar family and $50 from Kristin and Richard Vanpelt.

Also, $50 from Michael and Karen Colmerauer, $50 from Barb and Craig Iman, $50 from June and Dan Resetarits, $50 from Linda A. Greenberg, $50 from Dawn and Scott Abbate, $50 from Audrey Graylin, $25 from Gordon’s Mini Mart, $25 from Steve and Candi Duran, $25 from Bob Gorman, $25 from Jack Davis and $25 from Ted and Carole Dotter.

Also, $25 from Sarah Fucsko, $25 from Rich Luniewski, $25 from Deb and Jim Ramage, $25 from Loretta McElhattan, $25 from Roberta Marchlenski, $20 from Clair Weller, $15 from Kelly Ciorra, $10 from Karl and Marion Kushnereit, $10 from Colleen Albrecht, $10 from the Detamble family and $10 from Suzanne Droz.
