Man lands in prison after being evicted

MIDDLESEX TWP — A township man evicted from his home by a court order made things worse for himself when he allegedly kicked the door and window of a police car, authorities said.

Middlesex Township police on Wednesday charged James D. Parker Jr., 49, with resisting arrest and criminal mischief.

Police about 4 p.m. Dec. 3 went to his mobile home on Sandy Hill Road to serve him with a protective order that his girlfriend obtained earlier. The protection from abuse order barred Parker from the home.

But when officers got there, he refused to answer the door, said police Sgt. Randy Ruediger.

Police had to contact the home’s landlord, who came with a key to allow officers inside. Police found Parker allegedly intoxicated.

Ruediger said Parker resisted the officers and had to be subdued. He was placed in a cruiser and started repeatedly kicking the door.

Officers wrapped restraints around his feet but he began kicking the window, Ruediger said. The patrol car had $500 to $600 in damage.

Parker was taken to the Butler County Prison after police learned that he was wanted on a warrant out of Allegheny County.
