Ronald and Valjean Champ

Ronald and Valjean Champ of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner at Bravo! in Cranberry Township.

Champ married the former Valjean Jeffreys on Nov. 28, 1964, in Pittsburgh.

They have three children, Warren (Kim) Champ of Washington, Pa., Bethany Champ of Butler and Tammy (Dwight) Boice of Butler.

They also have three grandchildren.

Champ is a retired teacher who taught at Karns City High School for 17 years and at Butler County Community College for 17 years.

Mrs. Champ also is a retired teacher. She taught at Meridian Elementary School for 25 years.

The Champs are members of Trinity Presbyterian Church.
